BUY IT September 17, 2008 No pee smell, even after a week (and I was a skeptic)! I recommend you use 1.5 - 2 bags of pellets...one is not enough (but they last forever so you don't have to purchase often). Pellets do tend to track outside the box but easy to pick up. Make sure you scoop solid waste right away, as they don't "cover up" as easily as with traditional litter.
My cat didn't use it until after 5 days with no cleaning/scooping of his old box. Then he just walked over, made a "deposit" and the rest is history! Don't give up if your cat is being stubborn. It's so worth the hassle to train. I'll never go back to the old stuff.
BUY IT!!
Best litter box ever, no tracking.... September 17, 2008 I thought the concept was great but didn't know how my cat would adapt. Within three days the old litter box was gone. There is no urine smell and no tracking with the exception of a piece or two in front of the box every now again. It's more cost effective then replacing crystals every two weeks. I recommend this product to everyone I know with a cat.
Great product! September 16, 2008 I put this together and poured the pebbles in and before I could place it by the old litter box, my big cat junped in and christened it. He had no problem with the pellets. He totally loves the new litter system. This is a great buy. It doesn't small bad like the old system. We're all pleased with it.
Wish I Heard of it Sooner September 16, 2008 I purchased 2 of these boxes a few weeks ago. I have 2 cats and live in an apartment with tile flooring. The traditional litter would scatter all over my place and coat my entire utility room with dust, and the smell was horrible. With the Tidy Cats Breeze system, I probably come home to maybe 2-3 pellets on the floor each day, which is easy enough to clean up. This is pretty good considering that my male cat is quite a messy potty user. Also, there is no dust! I am amazed at how well the feces does not stick to the pellets. I do suggest waiting a few hours for the feces to harden before cleaning, then just flush down the toilet. I wait about 5 days before changing the pee pads and I have yet to experience the urine smell that I have lived with for years. It gives me comfort knowing that the urine is in a separate compartment from the pellets that my cats walk on. My cats happily took to the Breeze very quickly, so no issues with that. I purchased the first box at Petco for an insane price of [...]. The second box was purchased at Walmart and I used a [...] off coupon from [...]! My only complaint is that I wish the pellets and the pads were a bit cheaper, but it is worth every cent.
Revolutionary September 15, 2008 I've tried a lot of cat litters and boxes. Electric self-cleaning ones, regular clay litter, scoopable litter, crystal litter, what have you. This is far and away the best (budget) solution. So easy to clean, so little smell. I would advise against it if your cats have messy poops, but if they have good, solid stools, this is your litter system.
