 Great at removing hair, but delicate and expensive November 28, 2008
This product is solid and ergonomic. A couple issues: The plastic tubular guard meant to protect the fine (and delicate!) teeth doesn't stay on the edge of the comb properly, so consequently, ours ended up looking all bent up within about a month from having been dropped a couple times. I'd say either hang it up between uses or find a way to keep the guard in place. You end up having to replace the whole unit, btw, since a new replacement comb will run you over $27 and the whole comb can be bought for $25-- those are the Amazon prices anyway. On the good side, I figured out this thing is good for getting dog hair out of car carpets too.
A nice product, but could use a better guard (maybe something that flips up into place?) and the price is on the high side for sure.
 The Best Thing Ever November 28, 2008
We have a dusty backyard and a SuperShedder. The first time we used this product it was a mountain of dirty dusty hair that would certainly have accumulated into the massive Dusty Bunnies ( bunnies seems like too small of an animal). Amazing. Dexter loved it. He feels so much cleaner and looks that way as well. So hopefully the constant struggle to fight the Dusties on the floor will be over. Great product. Buy this now!!!

the furminator is so awesome. it picks up so much hair off our dog. I would recommend this item to anyone.

I'll keep this short and sweet - this little tool is incredible. The amount of "fluff" that came off our cats is shocking, without removing any of the actual hair. No matter how much we've brushed them before, we've never seen anything like this. It truly is amazing - keeping our house hair-free will be so much easier from now on! One user recommended keeping a wet paper towel close by to catch the hair - this is great advice and a good way to keep the flyaways under control.

I have a lab/beagle mix.. I've tried numerous brushes on her. This is the first that really works ... and works superbly well.
