If you have a cat with lots of fur, then the Furminator will help you and your kitty out quite a bit. Don't use the brush if your cat has any matted fur --- brush those out first or you will pull kitty's fur and it will hurt. Once you're finished with one session tho, kitty will have much less fur, and you might be covered, so use it when you are ok with getting furrred. Remember, kitty's fur does grow back, so you'll have to use it again --- but it really works.

if you have pets and don't have one of these(Get One) I love mine and I use it on my dog and my cat and love love it as well.
I liked mine so much that I ordered my mother one for her doy and cat.

When I used my furminator for the first time on my cat, it removed enough fur to cover another cat(not really-but it does work). Using it every 2 or 3 weeks drastically reduces shedding. The cat likes it too.

Worth every penny! The fur really flies with the FURminator. I have worked in the veterinary field for 25 years and have used all types of brushes, combs and shedding blades. This is by far the best out there. It does an unbelievable job on cats and all my cats love it, even the one that hates to be brushed. It removed all the loose hair and dead coat from my Dalmatian. One word of caution...don't get over enthusiastic brushing over the same spot. Like most shedding/stripping blades the FURminator removes the undercoat and you can create thin/balding spots if you get too agressive.
Huge reduction in shedding December 31, 2006
We have seen significantly less shedding from our 45 pound golden retriever mix thanks to the Furminator. It removes an amazing amount of fur and it's definitely an undercoat - much softer than the longer fur on the outer coat. And the undercoat is what tends to shed so the Furminator is doing the trick.
It doesn't hurt our dog at all - in fact he gladly sits still for a 10 minute session. And as soon as 2 of our neighbors tried the Furminator they placed an order for one of their own!
