The quality of your water is extremely important for the health of your plants and orchids. When you add fertilizer to water you change the mineral composition, and this EC meter allows you to make sure the fertilizer content is at the correct level and always the same. (Find more information and links on my website orchid-depot. com)
There are many other applications for this EC Meter, for example in testing pools and pond water or aquariums. Operation is easy, just press the button to switch it on, dip it in the water and read the results.
Per customer request I now offer a complete test set, this includes the meter, 3 packs of calibration fluid (EC1413 = 1413 mS/cm at 77 degree F) and 3 plastic cups for the calibration process. I also include an instruction sheet on how to make your own "quick check" calibration fluid. You can use this "quick check" solution to make sure the meter is working right each time you use it, and only use the expensive EC1413 calibration fluid once a year.
