At first, this worked fine. Less than a year after I bought it, it started mysteriously turning on by itself. The first few times, I thought I had just forgotten to turn it off, but it soon became clear that it would just turn on by itself. Then it indicated that it needed new batteries, so I replaced them. This solved the problem for about 3 days. Then it went back to randomly turning itself on for no good reason. Then today, it just stopped working. Wouldn't turn on. It's not the batteries. It just doesn't work any more.
Save your money. Don't buy this piece of junk.

The EatSmart Precision Pro-Multifunction Digital Kitchen Scale allows you to carefully monitor the amount of calories in the home made food that you eat. Being able to monitor your calories allows you both to save money that you would otherwise spend on commercially prepared "diet foods" but also allows you to make food which is unique and specially prepared to suit your individual taste. This is my second EatSmart product and because of the high-quality of both of them, I now have full confidence in their products and will look into what else they make.
I honestly have no cons to list with this product, and that is a rarity. Usually there is something about a product that I wish was different, but I like this scale completely as is. It's nice-looking, lightweight and small so it's space-saving and doesn't take up half my counter. It's not cluttered up with useless features/fuctions in an attempt to make it look like it's more than what it is, it has just what I need and is accurate and reliable. I really appreciate that it takes regular batteries.

The perfect kitchen scale. I love the "tare" feature (subtracts weight of the bowl or plate). I've used it for postage calculations, too, to let me know if I'm into the second ounce on a letter. I like that it comes in different colors, too.
