Coffee Making Miracle January 9, 2009 The Cuisinart Coffee On Demand is an absolute dream. It brews quickly and quietly, keeps the coffee really hot for 2 hours, without that burnt taste and stays clean and drip free. I couldn't have asked for a better product. Best of all, you get it a cup at a time without the cost of those pod systems. I highly recommend it!
Best coffee maker January 8, 2009 I have read many of the reviews on this product from poor tasting to leaking to having problem filling the water tank.
First of all, if you change the water filter as recommended it makes great coffee. I guess it depends on one's preferred taste and type of coffee being used. Next, I have a small pitcher and it works great filling the water tank. I have yet to see any leaks. Proper cleaning will help reduce any buildup of water deposits or coffee stains.
Having said all of that, here is my take on this coffee maker. Just love it. I have had Bunn, Mr. Coffee, and others, but this has been the best coffee maker I have ever owned. I have had mine for almost six months without any problems. We use all day long. Sometimes we make three or four pots a day.
Not so impressed, but may need help January 8, 2009 I loved the idea of this coffee maker, so when my Bunn went south (two days before Christmas with a house full of guests, I might add!) I bought this coffee pot.
I have not only noticed water leaking out of it on occasion, but the coffee isn't very good compared to my Bunn. I've tried using different water temperatures (cold worked best, but not much improvement), switching from the gold basket to a paper filter (the paper filter made it even worse). The coffee is very bitter. I'm using the same coffee I used with my Bunn. I've tried measuring scant spoonfuls instead of full ones. I've tried using a shade more water than what it calls for. I've tried everything. Even my daughter, who takes so much creamer in her coffee that I don't see how she could taste a difference, can tell. I really, really want to like this pot. Can anyone give me some ideas?
great coffee pot January 6, 2009 the coffee maker is great the only fault if any is there is no pot for the water to be poured from no biggie,
FANTABULOUS COFFEE! January 6, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This may very well be the best coffee maker I have ever owned. The best part is...it doesn't burn or cook the coffee while in the resevoir! Coffee is super hot, stays hot for hours, and has that fresh brewed taste all day. I will turn it on to warm up long after it has shut off and it still doesn't burn the coffee. The resevoir is super easy to clean, everything fits neatly together. Simply lift the entire resevoir out, lift out the gold basket, rinse, lift out the basket holder, rinse, then pour out the left over coffee (yeah, right, like there is ever any left over coffee!) rinse that unit, then place back in main unit. Water fill location is easy and convenient, too. Controls are simple to use! Love it! I will never stray to any other type of coffee maker again. And FINALLY...NO STUPID glass caraffe! Buy it, you'll love it!
