I Love Oxo December 11, 2008
Oxo products must be designed by people who have actually prepared and cooked food. Unlike other companies who just seem to dash off products that meet the current fad, Oxo products are genuinely and cleverly practical. They always have neat, unexpected features.
 Buy the four-bowl set instead December 7, 2007
These are great *LITTLE* bowls to use for baking, cooking, and storing food in the freezer or refrigerator. (I definitely agree it's be easy to think they are bigger looking at the picture.) The non-skid bottoms are very helpful when you need the bowl to stay still while mixing. The grip is nicely placed. The lids are mostly see through so you can tell what's in the frig.
The only drawback is that you can't fill the bowl more than two-thirds full if you plan to use the lid. I put some ice cream base into on and the lid would not snap closed when I filled it too high. It's not always obvious when the lids are shut tight.
One bowl isn't a very good deal when you can get four for the price of two. Let's face, you'll probably want more than one if you cook/bake often.

I made a mistake I wanted a bowl a little larger than this. I added it to my cart to qualify for free shipping. But I already have the whole set!OXO Good Grips 4-Piece Prep Bowl Set with Lids They are very nice and I use them often. Nice lids great for storing diced items, cereals, nuts etc. Get the set! Now I have a five piece prep set.

The bowl has a non-skid bottom, which is nice for preparing items that must be stirred vigorously. I like the lid a lot - it doesn't snap on, but drops in place, so it will never split or crack like some otherwise good-quality plastic snap-on lids eventually do.
