The GE SmartWater Replacement Whole House Sediment Filter Two-Pack (FXUSC) fits GE GXWH01C & GXWH08C SmartWater Whole House filters. It also fits most other brands of Whole-House filters that accept 9.5 x 2.5 inch filters. This GE water filter cartridge reduces Sand, Soil, Silt, Sediment, Rust, and Particulates (5-15 micron). It does not remove flouride. GE recommends that you replace the filter every 3 months OR after 16,000 Gallons of water have been filtered OR if you notice a decrease in the flow of water.

Why is it cheaper to buy a 2-pack ($8.15 each) than buying 6 2-packs ($8.48 each) ?

I just bought the same ones at Home Depot here in NY for $8.25 for the 2 pack. So at the price on here, I am better off at the Depot. Thanks.

Actually Home Depot sells them for $12.73 for a two pack. You must be thinking of the cheaper ones (there are 4 grades). So this is cheaper but once you put shipping in on top it is about the same unless you buy a lot of them
