Product Description Get those sleepyheads out of bed with the tempting aromas of bacon and pancakes sizzling on the griddle. They won't even mind washing up afterwards while you read the paper, thanks to the non-stick interior.
Amazon.com Review When the whole family's hungry at once, this griddle provides plenty of room for several hamburgers or a breakfast of pancakes, French toast, eggs, and sausages. Calphalon's Commercial Nonstick cookware is coated with an especially durable, multilayered nonstick material. To protect this material, use only plastic, nylon, and wooden utensils. The griddle is anodized for hardness, and its matte finish gives it that no-nonsense, professional-kitchen look. Its polished, cast-stainless-steel handles are triple-riveted for durability and balance, and stay cooler on stovetops. Holes in the handles facilitate hanging on a hook or peg. Made of heavy-gauge aluminum, this griddle cooks without hot spots or warping. Lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

no problem with this one February 23, 2007 Mine gets used and abused. I've not had the coating peel off and it goes in the dishwasher. The size is great, 4 sandwiches or french toast at a time. Aside from this, there are only about 2 other fry pans that get near as much use. Love it, hope they come out with a stainless version in nonstick as I'd like to get an induction cooktop.

I purchased a set of Calphalon nonstick and added two of these griddles. The cook ware has been cared for as directed, using only non-stick flatware and washing by hand. The nonstick coating peels, making it unuseable for my purposes. With all the discussion and cautions against teflon, I do not recommend using teflon coated cookware that has begun to peel. The lifetime warranty is useless to me, since mailing heavy cookware is very expensive and postage is paid by the customer.
Non-Stick Coating Problems January 1, 2005 I do not recommend this pan. We have used it for about 4 months, once a week since September 2004 according to manufacturer's recommendations, ie. we used plastic utensils and medium to medium low heat settings...Last week the non-stick coating started peeling off. Its coming off in chunks and bubbles now. I need to see about the warranty. I definitely would not recommend this product.
Wonderful, nearly perfect griddle! August 23, 2004 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
Owning Calphalon commerical nonstick cookware has been a new experience for me, with a total of 3 pieces now, including this griddle. All have been wonderful! Heats evenly, foods seem to cook more quickly, never sticks, and the clean up is a breeze!! This griddle has a nice (but somewhat hefty) weight, and a larger cooking area than my old griddle, due to the Calphalon having square corners vs. rounded ones with previous griddle (which took away from the overall useable space).
On the other hand, my older griddle had a deeper cooking area due to its larger surrounding edge, which would allow me to cook foods producing liquids; I could even make gravy in the old griddle. With this Calphalon griddle there is only 1/4" from cooking surface to edge, but this is fine for sandwiches, pancakes, eggs, etc.
The only slight disadvantage I've found with this griddle is that I'm unable to store it conveniently in my oven. I cannot close the oven door when placing the griddle front-to-back, due to its overall length (approx. 19.5"). Can't place it sideways and still store my other cookware there... as I prefer to store my most-used cookware in the oven. Still, a small price to pay for a great griddle!! Buy it while it's still available!!
excellent cookware July 19, 2004 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Hats off to Calphalon. This griddle lives up to the meaning of "non-stick". I just made blueberry pancakes this morning, didn't put any oil on the cooking surface, and when I went to turn them they slid across the surface so easily that I think I enjoyed the cooking more than the eating. Will be getting more Calphalon products in the future!
