Great coffee maker for office January 6, 2009 This coffee maker is so good we bought two for the office: black for regular and red for decaf. Multiple users have had no problem figuring out the straightforward process of brewing great pots of coffee. Easy to clean inside and out, too.
Very Disappointed December 28, 2008 Wanted a new coffee pot this year and was wanting a KitchAid due to the fact the mixer and the burr coffee grinder is great. Couldn't find one, sold out. We went with Cuisinart and coffee brewed over. Then found the red Kitchaid and bought it,much more expensive, and the same thing happened after making two pots. One with six cups and then with ten. The condensation is awful, spilling on to the counter when you open the lid and we like stronger coffee and Starbucks and D & D us 2 tablespoons for each cup. We tried both ways, then the second time with your measure and the grounds backed up and went into the water reserve and into the basket place outside the filter and down into the pot. It is going back tomorrow. It is just a bother to box it up again and return for another. This shouldn't happen. The carafe says 14 cups but the coffee basket is a bit on the small size and the paper filters seem too small for the basket.
When it was good, it was very very good, when it was bad...... December 20, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The electronics failed in the first four I had, so I said forget it, and bought another brand. Customer servive from kitchenaide was great, but the product only lasted a couple of months. I received four replacements over 18 months, and they all did the same.
best coffee maker I've ever had September 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
very well designed - it feels great in the hand. and makes great coffee. and keeps it hot. I also love the light that lets you know how long the coffee's been made - I don't know why, but for some reason, it's very nice to know.
I agree with other reviewers it would be nice to have a window onto the water resevoir, but I love this coffee maker so much that this lack does not detract.
